My Economic Predictions

I don't generally make economic predictions but lots of econostats come out this week. They are all backward-looking and useless for the purpose of actual investing, much like last weekend's weather. Let's review where I think each will shake out:

• Today - new home sales - should be bad
• Tuesday - consumer confidence - should be very bad
• Wednesday - durable goods orders - should be very bad
• Thursday - 3Q GDP - should be bad
• Friday - personal income and spending - should be very bad

Other than that, it should be a fun week.
